Linda Bruske

Linda originates from Chicago and graduated at the University of Illionois. Her career as a singer began in the role of the Micaela in " Carmen " at the Springfield opera theatre. With San Francisco Merola opera program she was in " Don Giovanni " as Donna Elvira on the stage. Linda Bruske won the Bel Canto competition in Chicago and traveled after Busetto to Italy, where she took instruction with the great tenor Carlo Bergonzi. The extremely versatile singer sang the Violetta in " La Traviata " the Margarete in " Faust", and in the Milwaukee Opera in " Madame Butterfly " Furthermore she was successful as Tosca in the Chamber Opera of Chicago and as Susannah in Iowa's Dorian Opera Theatre. She also performed as Josephine in "H.M.S. Pinafore " Nedda in "Pagliacci " as well as the first lady into " the magic flute ". Linda Bruske has played the roles of the Carlotta Guidicelli and the Madame Giry in the Basel Phantom production and looks forward to its German debut in the New Flora Theater.
