ElfQuest Holts Web Ring

Getting your site ready for the ring

To prepare your site for inclusion in the EQ Holts Ring, you need to add the following HTML code fragment to the page you submitted to the web ring. You will also need to upload the following images, using the same filenames, to the directory where your holt web page is. If you have any problems with any of this, feel free to email the ringmaster or her assistant. The final result should look like the table shown at the bottom of this page and the other ring pages.

Adding the Code

Select all the HTML code shown in the box below and copy it. Paste it at the bottom of your EQ Holt page HTML file. Then, where it says YOUR# in two places, replace it with your site ID number. For instance, if your site ID was 9, you would put 9 in place of the YOUR# so that it would read "id = 9" there instead. Unless your images are stored in a different directory, that's all there is to it!

NOTE: Users on angelfire will need to put their directory name in front of each image filename in order for them to load properly. For example, on this page, I had to put /ky/EQClubRing/images before each image name. Thus, "holttree.jpg" became "/ky/EQClubRing/images/holttree.jpg" instead.

Adding the Images

To capture these images, just place your mouse over them and click the second mouse button if you have a PC or hold down on the mouse button for a few seconds if you have a Mac. You should then have a menu in which one of the options is to save the image/picture. Save each one under the same filename (case sensitive!) as you see here. Then upload the images to your web page directory.
