February 15, 2000: Albany, New York : Pepsi Arena
By: Alana

Hey, my name's Alana and I went to the BSB Concert Feb. 15th at the Albany Pepsi Arena. It was the second stop in their "Into the Millennium" tour. The show was awesome! The guys sang beautifully! I didn't like Nick before, but he got a hair cut and lost a lot of weight and he looks fantastic, really hot! Him and Brian were on my side of the stage most of the time. The guys must have changed at least 10 times! The dancers were great and so was the band. Brian was making funny faces at the camera the whole show! And a fan threw a twinkie on-stage at Nick and Nick threw it at AJ! He also kicked AJ in the butt at one point. During one of there songs they flew around the arena just like *N Sync when they perform "Sailing" at their concerts. I wasn't crazy about the BSB before, but after the concert, I LOVE THEM!!!! I would kill to go again!! I've been to 98 Degrees concerts and *N Sync concerts before, and I have to say, the BSB concert was the best one yet!!

Hi! My name is Angel and I just went to a concert last night, Valentine's Day, in Albany. It was awesome! The Boys did all of the songs from Millennium except I Need You Tonight, plus Get Down, As Long As you Love Me, I'll Never Break Your Heart and Quit Playing Games with my Heart. They changed costumes a lot, and while they did Mindi (the saxophone player) played. Kevin also did a piano solo w/ her. All of the guys did really well, especially Brian (LOL). AJ's hair was it's normal shade of brown, and no new tattoos. There were also a lot of cool special effects-the guys entered flying on those boards, then during QPGWMH they flew back and forth over the audience, throwing candy, flowers and teddy bears. Plus there were always all of these flashing lights. I can't think of anything more to say. It was a blast:)

Hey My name is Melissa and I just went to see them in concert on October 9. Let me tell you they were so good. Brian was just adorable. They sang every song from the Millennium CD except I need you tonight. They also sang all the hits from their other album, including "Get Down". They performed for at least an hour and 45 minutes. I think they changed clothes 5 times. They sang so well too; it was like I was listening to the CD. The way they came was awesome. The Star Trek theme played and they rose out of this box with smoke and were on these boogie boards and the flew to the stage in the middle of the arena. When Brian got down he said a quick prayer it was sooooo cute. Then they opened with "Larger Than Life." But, it was a 5 sided stage so you couldn't see some of them sometimes. But, lucky for me, Brian was on our side a lot. When they sang "Back to Your Heart" Kevin played the piano for whole song. They did this one song called "That's the Way I Like It" and they kind of did a dance with all the girl dancers. It was good. I was really impressed with the way that they danced, because a lot of times they don't dance the best. Anyway it was an awesome concert; definitely the best I've been too, and I just saw 98 degrees in September.

Oh my gosh! The BSB concert was so awesome! Actually, before the concert, I was a huge 'N Sync fan and didn't like BSB that much, but I thought I would go anyway. Well, after that night, my whole view of the Backstreet Boys changed. My concert was Thursday, October 7, in Chicago. I went with my sister and my friend. The concert started at 7:30, but we got there at about 6:00. When we first arrived we saw a huge line of people waiting to get in, but we went around the back and got in right away. My friend really wanted to buy a T-shirt, and I didn't think it was worth it, but I decided to buy one anyway. (Let me add that they were $30 each! No wonder those guys are so rich!) After that we decided to go find our seats, and the people who worked there kept sending us back and forth. Finally we found our seats. The stage was in the middle, and our seats were the first section off the floor, which was pretty good. So we sat down and waited until about 7:45, and the concert finally started. The first opening act was Mandy Moore. I thought she was pretty good, although I didn't exactly like the outfit she was wearing. The next opening act was EYC. I had never heard of them before, but they were also pretty good. By this point I was really anxious to see BSB. So EYC ended and there was about 20 minutes until BSB came out. (It was practically the longest 20 minutes of my life.) The place got dark and all this smoke started coming out, then all of a sudden BSB came out on these surf board things. They were on the other side from where I was sitting, but I could see them through the big screen. At this point everyone went ballistic! Then they started off by singing "Larger Than Life." After that they talked to us for a little while, and said how Chicago was so great and all. Then they sang a bunch of other songs, and then came "The Perfect Fan." Five girls got to go up on the stage with their moms, and each of the Backstreet Boys sat next to one of them. Then they got to walk around the stage holding their hands! It was really funny, because this one lady and her daughter were sitting by Brian, and she held up her camera. So Brian finished his part and did this weird smile. It was so cute! I had only brought two cameras, but I had a lot left towards the end. So BSB finished a song, and then they were like, "Thanks again Chicago. We're the BSB." So I thought it was ending, and I just took a bunch of pictures. Other people thought it was ending too, and some of them even left. We couldn't believe it was over because they hadn't sung "I Want It That Way." So then about two minutes later they came back on stage and sang some more songs. Then I thought it was going to be over again so I got up and was going to try to get a little closer, but I saw this guy who worked there. I thought he was going to yell at me, but he asked me if I wanted to get closer to take pictures. So I'm like, "Yeah!" So my sister and I ran up to about the 7th row, and I used about 5 out of the 8 pictures I had left. Then they started going down, so I took my last 3 pictures. But then once again a few minutes later they came back up again and sang "I Want It That Way." It was really cool because they had the audience sing a lot of it. So after that when they were ending, and I was screaming at my sister to take the pictures, so she used all of her film up. At that point the lights went on and the concert was actually over. We tried to get up by the stage but this really mean security lady yelled at us and told us to go back. Then we decided to go out by their buses, although we thought we would never actually see them. So we went outside, and the bus with the band drove past. We were kind of far away from the other buses, but all of a sudden we heard everyone screaming, and we looked and either Brian or AJ (I couldn't see who it was) looked out the window, and shut the blinds really quick. Then we decided we better go find my dad, and we found him and gave him our stuff, and went back to the buses. Well this time I got really close to this other bus, and all of a sudden Nick opened the blinds and started waving to everyone, then he made a steam mark on the window and drew something in it. A couple minutes later he went to the front of the bus and looked out the window at us. Then he went back and turned off the lights. At this point a bunch of people left, but we decided to stick around and see what happened. So we're just standing there and all of a sudden Nick got out of the bus and ran past everyone into the building! And it was great and all, but what really sucked was that we didn't have any pictures left! We were literally 10 feet away from Nick and we didn't have any pictures!!! Well, after that the security guards forced us to leave. But I wasn't too upset because of what had happened. So now after that experience, I went from hardly liking BSB, to loving them!!!

Hey, my name is Tabitha and my 2 best friends and I went to the September 17 concert in Charlotte, NC. It was a great concert but even better was the fact that we met them. The day started early. The night before we had found all their buses so we were pretty sure where they were staying. We went there and waited for a while and after staying there and not seeing them we decided to go to the Coliseum. When we got there they were doing their sound check. Then we walked to the back of the Col. and AJ walked out to one of the buses. We were on a hill and he was on the lower level. We waited a while longer to see if any others would come out but none did so we left to go get ready for the concert. When we got there we barely had to wait b/c we went in a door that was supposed to be for people with floor seats. We went and found our seats and were looking around and hoping the concert would start soon. My mom suddenly called us and told us to come to the smoking deck which was where we had seen AJ earlier. We stood out there for what seemed like forever watching Nick Carter play basketball. AJ came out a few times and was making fun of nick. He was also smoking.:( Then the concert started w/ them b/c EYC didn't show up. The beginning was awesome. They flew in to Star Wars and after they landed they marched around the pentagon stage with Kev leading. Then during "Don't Want You Back" the best part of the concert happened....Kevin's pants split. I MEAN SPLIT!!:) A wardrobe person came out and pinned them but that didn't work to well. It was so cute b/c he kept apologizing. He had to hold his pants during "The Perfect Fan" while he was walking the daughter around...she also had to help hold his pants at one point. The rest of the concert was great and after we waited around the Col. for an hour we figured out they'd already left. So we went back to their hotel. After waiting so long we were rewarded. Kevin came in a side door first and was signing autographs and after he went upstairs, Brian and AJ came in the front door. Brian is my fav but I couldn't get close to him b/c of the bodyguards :( and I barely got AJ to sign something. But all in all it was great. If you want more details just e-mail me.

Hi!! I am a huge BSB fan, so I was sooo excited when I found out I was going to a concert. It was a Monday night, September 27 in Uniondale, Long Island. It started with about a half hour show from EYC, who in my opinion were not that great. But, I didn't care because I was so excited that the Backstreet Boys were coming out soon!! After EYC left the stage, 45 long minutes passed in which practically everyone in the arena, including myself, was screaming, "Backstreet Boys." It was really exciting. Every time a head popped up from a black tent on the floor, 16,000 screams echoed off the walls of the arena. Finally the lights went out and the band totally dressed in white marched onto stage to the "Star Wars" theme. Then from the black tent on the floor, the Backstreet Boys rose up on boogie boards through a huge cloud of smoke. It was incredible. Red and orange lights glared all around. When they landed, they proceeded to sing "Larger Than Life" on stage until the middle of the song when each boy sat on a side of the stage and was hooked up to cables and began to fly over the audience. Not only did they fly over us, but they caught stuffed animals and stuffed basketballs flying up from the stage floor and threw them out into the audience. They then broke into "Get Down" and then "The One." After those two up beat songs they began to slow things down a bit with mid tempo songs and then ballads like "Spanish Eyes" where they sat on an elevated stage center. They then went back to faster songs like "Everybody." During "It's Gotta Be You" they let us sing some of it. There were many costume changes and the costumes were incredible!! The finale was "I Want It That Way" and they let us sing a lot of that song. Overall it was incredible, a night I'll remember for the rest of my life. The special effects were incredible, the vocals were incredible, the band was incredible, and most of all the boys were incredible!!

HELLO! My name is Katie, and I went to a BSB concert on the 22 of October at the San Jose Arena! All I can say is that it kicked ass! I loved how they interacted with the audience, but not only the first rows, but the higher rows (I mean the cheaper seats). First off, the lighting was great, the dancing was good, and the surfboard idea was hot. They flew in on surfboards, if you didn't know, and Brian being the goofy person that he is, was flipped upside down!
However, Mandy Moore and EYC, sang for the opening acts. All I can say that it took an hour, and I was highly anticipating BSB, so I was going nuts by the end of that hour. When they did go on, I was crying my head off. They changed about 5 times into different costumes, including those weird futuristic costumes, and silk pajama type bottoms, which was more than the '98 tour and had great dancers, even though I wish I was a dancer since BSB sometimes sat on them (the female dancers) and Nick was shacking his booty and doing "pelvic thrusts", the sexually inspired move that A.J does a lot, to some female dancers. They sang about 20 songs, which began with "Larger than Life", and ended with "I Want it that Way". During the performance, the boys went back into the air and threw flowers and stuffed animals to the audience, I was about 10 feet away from Howie! They also did the hat and chair thing from '98. Some funny things are that the front row fans threw stuffed animals on the stage, like rubber chickens, and dogs resembling Lil' Tyke, so Brian was putting them on the platform that the musicians where on. Eventually there were lots of stuffed animals lined up on the platform which was hilarious! Next Brian, again, got a B-Ball from a fan, so he was twirling it on his finger, and doing pretend slam-dunks! No wonder they call him B-Rok! Lastly, there was ballet type music, so A.J was dancing ballet. He's pretty good at it.
Some things that you might wasn't to know:
-Nicky's hair was down to his upper lip, and no, he did not put it in a ponytail!
-A.J did not put any color in his hair.
-Brian's dad's birthday was on the day I saw the concert. His dad was in the audience, so he asked the whole audience to wish him a happy B-Day! (aww, how cute)!
-I didn't see any g/f of BSB.
-Nick is not fat! He seemed to be getting a lot of muscle!
-Howie still has his hair in a ponytail.
-Kevin is the same.
-Brian is the same except his hair seemed much blonder in real life. That or he dyed it.
-A.J did not hump the ground, or did any sexually inspired moves
That's about all. Overall, it was a great concert, and I can't wait to see what they come up with next. The only problem, was that they didn't take off their T-shirts :( and the merchandise was really pricey! $20 bucks for a program, and $30 for a T-shirt! But I still got some stuff anyway! One last thing: BSB RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BRIAN IS THE HOTTEST GUY IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When BSB tickets went on sale in August I naturally tried to get 'em, but I didn't get them when they first went on sale. I spent hours online trying to get tickets, and finally the night before the concert my friend called and asked me if I wanted to go, my answer was (duh) yes. So on Sept 29 I SAW BSB IN CONCERT!!! The opening act started at seven. We got to the First Union Center at about 6:30. First Mandy Moore came out and performed. I luv the song Candy; so it was great. Then EYC performed. Then at exactly 9:00 the lights went out, and EVERYBODY screamed. The BSB flew in on glow in the dark surfboards, and landed on the stage and started singing "Larger Than Life." Of course I was screaming my head off cause I am like obsessed with AJ. After they sang "Larger Then Life" they all left the stage and one by one they did a little speech thing. When AJ was out there someone threw a dog bone up there which was cool. I was in Heaven. Then they flew over the crowd on cables. It was pretty funny cause all these girls were throwing stuffed animals at them. They dropped a lot and some lucky girls got free souvenirs. They all looked SOOOO cute !!! If you want more concert info e-mail me at Katie4090!!

I went to the BSB concert in Chicago on October 5th. It was definitely worth every penny I paid to get in. I don't want to give away the big surprise beginning because it is the best when you don't know, so don't let anyone tell you!!!! If you want to know really E-mail me. The concert kicked off with "Larger Than Life", and followed by all the songs from Millennium, and most from the first album. The concert was in the round and that made for a great view for everyone. I was in the 4th row of the balcony and I could see every detail of their bodies! There is a large TV so you can see if you are far away. During some of the songs, they would get up on this revolving circle and they would spin around. If you want to get Brian's attention which all of you must if you are at a Brian website, look him straight in the eye! He loves a girl that gives him eye contact. I did it and even for how far away I was he saw me and waved, winked, and looked at ME!!! Try it! It works. I don't want to give it away, but when you think it is over think again! They come back and fool you a lot! Many people left, but stay!!!! Also their tour bus is in the parking lot so just go by it and you might even catch a glimpse of your fav.!!!!

I went to the BSB concert on Halloween in Denver, Colorado. Definitely one of a kind. It was the greatest concert ever. Kevin was actually wearing a sling, so I kind of felt sorry for him. I had a new love for Kevin when I walked out of the Pepsi Center that cold night. They talked to us for a while, they kept saying "Happy Halloween" and stuff like that. Brian was dancing like a chicken and him and AJ were salsa dancing together. It was so cute, but not the cutest part. Wanna know the cutest part? Well, after "I Want It That Way", when they all face the audience in a circle and bow, Brian was to the right of Kevin. Kevin's right arm was in a sling from snowboarding the day before, so Brian looked at Kevin's face, then he looked at Kevin's arm, then he had this big grin on his face. He smiled at Kevin, and poor Kevin smiled back bitterly. OMG, it was the cutest thing! Well, that's the concert. Oh yeah, they sang a total of 18 songs. All from "Millennium", except "I Need You Tonight". Then they sang 6 songs from the old album. Then they sang "That's The Way I Like It". Oh yeah, Howie did this little rapping thing where he went by the name, "MC D". And while Howie was rapping, Nick was trying his hardest to break dance! I LOVED IT!

By:lornae@attglobal.net

The lights suddenly went low, as the screaming increased. A cloud of smoke arose from the audience, and slowly, the proud performers appeared just slightly above a few audience members, standing on five separate huverboards. They sailed over to the stage and eventually landed. Then, the brightest, most blinding, set of red explosions when off all around the stage. It wasn't long before the music took over, and everyone was finally satisfied with the Backstreet Boys appearance. And so it began.

The concert occurred at the Skydome Skytent in Toronto, on Thursday, November 11th, 1999. Over 49,000 fans gathered around to be a part of this longingly awaited event. I, being one of the lucky ticket holders, was able to experience all of the excitement.

Inside, it was loud and exhilarating. Many people had shown great effort to making signs and banners, while others just occupied themselves by chanting "WE WANT BACKSTREET"!

All of the new songs were sung, which was appreciated by both the new and old fans. There was a variety of lighting effects, which made the overall outlook on the concert more interesting. They also provided a lot of different sound effects. For example, while the guys were getting ready to come out and sing, 'Don't Want You Back', thunderstorm noises were set off. By the end, the Backstreet Boys found themselves doing more than one encore, but finally concluding the show with 'I want it that way!' They even sang it twice, the second time being all the fans turn to sing.

Hi, my name is Shannon, and I am a 20 year old BSB fan. On September 17, I was lucky enough to see them live at the Charlotte Coliseum. The show ran a little late but believe me it was worth it. The show started to the Star Wars theme and the boys appeared on air boards. My little sister and I were lucky enough to be on the right side of the stage so they were right in front of us when they came out. They kicked it off with "Larger than Life" which was great. I was smart enough to write down every song they sang and the order that they sang it. So here it is: "Get Down," "The One," "As Long as You Love Me" (Great Chair Routine), "Don't Wanna Lose You Now," "Quit Playing Games," (After Quit Playing Games, the boys were strapped into harnesses and flew over the crowd from different angles the stage. Brian (luckily) was the closest to us. I went crazy screaming and waving. He smiled at me and waved back.), "Don't Want You Back," "The Perfect Fan" (All of the boys had a mother and daughter with them), "Spanish Eyes," "Back To Your Heart" (All of the boys dressed in white with Kevin on the piano. It was gorgeous.), a medley of "Everybody," "We've got it goin' on," and "That's the way I like it." The crowd went nuts on "Everybody." Then came "I'll Never Break Your Heart." They let the crowd sing along on that one. As if we weren't singing along to the other songs.:) "No One Else Comes Close," "All I Have To Give" (The boys in suits and hats. Oh my, they looked good.) "Show me the meaning of Being Lonely" was last. The Boys dedicated it to their late producer Denniz Pop. They said their good-byes and left the stage. Then came Encore #1: "It's Gotta Be You." Possibly the best part of my night because Brian pointed directly at me, smiled and sang the chorus to me. They introduced their band and dancers, said Thank you again, and left the stage. Fireworks went off. Encore #2: "I Want It That Way." I am not kidding, every person in that coliseum sang the whole song with them. Oh what a night!!!! It was absolutely incredible. The Boys sound even better live. I recommend everyone who is a diehard fan to see a live show. Even those of you who "kinda" like them. I guarantee you will walk out afterwards loving all 5 of the guys. If anyone has any helpful hints on how to meet them, please e-mail me. Or if anyone wants to just talk about the BSB give me a shout. I will definitely see them again, in fact, I will be seeing them again on Feb. 17, at the Charlotte Coliseum again. I love you Brian if you read this you guys are the BEST!!!!!!!
