COMMENTARY
The record books are re-written this week as Steps become the first artist to spend more than 4 weeks at Number 1. ŒBetter Best Forgotten¹ is now in it¹s 5th consecutive week at the top, making it the longest running Number One of all time.

As much as I love Steps and this song, I know it will struggle next week to retain the Number 1 position as B*Witched are storming up the charts this week with ŒBlame It On The Weatherman¹. If you get the chance to hear the Amen remix, then hear it. It¹s amazing. But the original¹s not too bad either. ŒBlame It...¹ give their 2nd biggest hit to date, and 3rd Top 3 hit out of 4 chart entries. Not bad for a group I thought would flop.

Billie has the highest debut this week with ŒHoney To The Bee¹, giving her a 2nd Top 10 hit. The last came this Christmas with ŒShe Wants You¹ peaking at Number 7. This one will be her biggest to date, and probably another UK Number 1.

Steps, B*Witched and Billie all feature again at Number 14 this week. ŒThank Abba For The Music¹ by Various Artists, the Abba tribute from this years Brit awards, is being released as a single and surely is destined for the upper echilons of the UK charts. Apart from the prevoiusly mentioned superstars (!), this record also features Cleopatra and Tina Cousins.

Kavana is also back in the charts this week, with only his 2nd hit, ŒWill You Wait For Me¹. This is a beautiful song and why it missed the UK Top 40 I don¹t know. So deservadely it¹s a hit with me.

Oh My God, my prayers have been answered! The Spice Girls are back with a BRAND NEW single, taken from the Aida soundtrack. It¹s great and it¹s got Number 1 written all over it. The only reason it hasn¹t charted is because I don¹t know the name of the song. But as soon as I do, it¹ll be Top 3 before you can say ŒPosh, a Mother?¹
