Dominic Kyle Sandoval was born October 15, 1985, in Sacramento, California. His parents are Leilani and Pete Sandoval.
D-Trix now lives in Roseville, California where he began his dancing career at the age of 13. Sandoval’s first performance was in a fifth-grade talent show. He also danced at Arco Arena for WNBA and NBA games.
D-Trix was a fan of the first two seasons of “So You Think You Can Dance” and decided to try out at the LA auditions for the third season. D-Trix instantly impressed the judges and was sent along with the top 200 dancers to Las Vegas for the second round of auditions. D-Trix and the other contestants spent five days in Las Vegas auditioning day after day for the judges to vote on and cut down the cast to 20 dancers. Those twenty, including D-Trix, were invited back to Hollywood to compete in the show “So You Think You Can Dance?”
Once on the show, D-Trix lasted seven weeks then came back for the finale. D-Trix danced with fellow contestant, Sabra, for the first five weeks. Sabra went on to win the “So You Think You Can Dance” contest.
Sandoval now travels around the country on a 60-city tour with the top ten finalists of season three of “So You Think You Can Dance?”.
After his national tour, D-Trix plans on moving to Hollywood to pursue a career in the movie industry
