Villa Cantalegre

is situated to the West of the charming and historic village of Mijas.

High up on the hillside it commands spectacular views across the countryside, and across the sea to the mystical coast of Africa. The house is a haven of peace and tranquillity, with its own garden facing an old olive grove.

The house comprises a lounge/dining area, open fireplace, kitchen and downstairs bathroom. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, one double and one twin, both with glorious views across to the Mediterranean sea and North Africa. There is a private balcony from the master bedroom where you can truly appreciate the beauty of the setting sun across the valley and mountains. A family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower, bidet, toilet and hand wash basin complete the facilities.

The house also enjoys the amenities of the beautiful and private estate on which it is situated, with a lovely swimming pool approximately 100 yards away, and another very large pool within a 10 minute walk, along with a tennis court and a small bar/restaurant. The village of Mijas is 20 minutes walk away although we strongly recommend car hire due to the steepness of the surrounding countryside!

The property sleeps up to 5 people and is ideal for families, with both a travel cot and a highchair available at a small extra charge. Mijas village offers everything - supermarkets, bakeries, post office, fresh fruit and vegetable market, banks, tourist office etc. Fuengirola and its beaches are just 5 miles away. There is a frequent, efficient and cheap local bus service and the train from Fuengirola stops at Malaga Airport as well as continuing to the City of Malaga itself. The beautiful and historic cities of Seville, Cordoba and Granada are a 2 hour drive away (with an additional half hour bringing you to the Sierra Nevada and the longest ski season in Europe!). Gibraltar a mere hour on the new motorway.
