welcome to the history of the kubes The band was formed back in 1997, and what began as a bit of fun jamming in Smokey rehearsal studios soon developed into serious song writing. On this site you will find a small number of the songs recorded by "THE KUBES" over the past seven years. The band has seen several line up changes during that time which has seen no fewer than four vocalist. All the songs were penned by talented band member Tony Johnson, Tony also supplied the lead vocal to the song "CHAPTER TEN" Claire Inglis was the vocalist on "feel so good" and "sneaking in" and also "City lights" with James long vocaling "top of the world" Drummer of the kubes is the brilliant Paul Johnson whose endless energy and drum skills pushed the songs along as a engine does a car, lead guitarist is Tony Johnson whose influences are pink Floyd, Paul Weller, Kula shaker, to name but a few. theme guitarist is Mark Hayes, and bass guitarist is Mark Johnson.

 

The kubes are also very thankful to the many hours and devotion of recording engineer Pete Booker whom played keyboards on all tracks and who recorded all our songs.and claire louise who supplied backing vocals on top of the world.
