The methanogen phylum is full of bacteria that live in the intestines of other organisms. They are helpful in breaking down food in the intestines and provide energy.
The Halophils phylum can only live in large bodies of saltwater.
The Thermoacidophiles phylum contains bacteria that are found in hot water and sulfer springs. They can handle temperatures up to an amazing 80 degrees celcius.
An example of an organism in the Archaebacteria kingdom is the Methanosarcina barkeri. They live in certain organs of cows and make their own energy by digesting cellulose and other polysaccarides. More info:
