I had some free time, so what did I do?
I checked the computer to see if I'd heard from you.
I used to walk out to a box to retrieve mail,
But I'd rather get it instantly than wait on the snail...

Checking my email is always fun,
I usually get a joke or greeting from someone.
I feel so blessed because on the other end,
I know I've connected with a friend.

When I've had a hard day and need to share,
Here I can find a friend who will listen and care.
and to this friend I hope I've let them know,
That I am always there for them also.

Isn't it a strange kind of bond we form?
It isn't exactly like the "norm".
But where is it written, face to face we have to be,
For you to be a very good friend to me?

That little joke, or note, or even just a simple "Hi"
Could be like a ray of sunshine from the sky.

So my online-pals, this is dedicated to you,
For all the smiles you have made anew.
May our friendship continue to grow,
and the warmth we feel continue to flow.

Always remember this....

Since I first came on-line in March of 1997, I've made a lot of Friends from Places Around The World including Australia, Canada, Scotland, England, Germany, Mexico, Italy, Africa, New Zealand, and the United States. Many, I no longer see on-line, several I still have contact with, and a few I have even met in person. These pages are about those friends, a reminder of who they are. Many I met in a Chatroom called "Wicked Cool Chat", and like many of them, I rarely go there anymore, but once in a while I'll drop by in hopes of seeing old friends. Several others I met through FlipBoy's Site, "Tropical Island", and some I met through some of the Webrings I belong to. All are special.

Most of the people I have met on line are very nice and will do anything to help others. You learn pretty fast who are trouble makers and who are real friends. Yea, kind of like the you meet in person every day. These people are real, and for the most part very honest in what they say. Then you have the exceptions, the ones that like to play little mind games and hurt others. Those are the ones you click the ignore user button on in the Chatroom. Most of us in WCool found out this hard way, it doesn't do any good to talk back to them, they only get worse. AngelOfDeath always comes to mind when I say that. I'm sure many of the Old Timers remember his hateful, rude, hurtful conversations day after day until several of us just stopped going there.

If you're wondering just what we would have to visit about on the different mailing lists and message boards, I'll tell you. We share our lives, our thoughts, our up and downs, the good and bad, recipes, stories, jokes. I can't say that everyone gets along with everyone else all the time, like any family there are disagreements, but we're all like a big family and we have the Internet to thank for that.
