Notes:  Five Oakland interceptions, including a pair by defensive tackles Art Thoms and Otis Sistrunk, limited Houston to 89 yards total offense, the lowest in Oiler history.  Thoms also blocked two field goal attempts.  Daryle Lamonica threw a pair of touchdown passes and Clarence Davis, making his debut for the season, ran 14 yards for a score.
