Notes:  Philadelphia quarterback Norman Snead’s second touchdown, a one-yard sneak at the start of the final period, provided the final margin of victory and the Eagles protected their edge with a late drive that consumed 9:24 of the game’s final 10:16. The loss snapped New York’s six-game winning streak.  The game was played at the University of Pennsylvania’s Franklin Field, where the temperature dropped below 30 degrees.

This is the (in)famous game during which Howard Cosell, supposedly drunk from a pre-game party, vomited on Don Meredith’s cowboy boots.  There is no on-air evidence of this, but going into the third quarter Cosell seems to be slightly inebriated, and Meredith is clearly amused about something.  After that Cosell is either absent or uncharacteristically silent.  According to rumor, he took a cab all the way back to New York.

Thanks Dan!
