Notes:  The Red Wings skate to their fourth Stanley Cup title in 11 seasons as they defeat the Penguins in a final hectic battle.  The Wings played a smothering defense and wielded an aggressive forecheck to frustrate the Penguin’s offensive game plan, and despite Detroit’s dominance the Penguins came very close to tying the game just before the final buzzer.  Detroit went up 3-1 on a fluke goal that Marc-Andre Fleury thought he stopped, but it slowly snuck through the five-hole and when he dropped to stop it he inadvertently sent it across the goal line.  In all, Fleury stopped 27 of 30 in Game 6 and racked up an impressive .923 save percentage against Detroit.  Nicklas Lidstrom became the first European captain to hoist the Cup and Henrik Zetterberg took home the Conn Smythe trophy.
