"The Tahoe Rim Trail left us literally "breathless" due to the high elevation (around 8000 feet) but the scenery was wonderful. We started at the Kingsbury trailhead, found two walking sticks waiting for us and began our peaceful hike. We only encountered one other hiker and a pair of mountain bikers during our journey. We were rewarded with beautiful mountain-framed views of Lake Tahoe while walking through a forest. This was our last hike on our vacation in the Tahoe area and we made the most of it!
