A full-blown, rich and complex Cabernet at a price that is
hard to believe. From the Don Alfredo Catena winery in Mendoza, Argentina,
comes this beautifully crafted "Andalen" Cabernet sauvignon. The grapes
were grown on the winery's vineyards in the Lujan de Cuyo, known as the
"premier growing area", located 900 meters above sea level. The finished
wine was aged in new French oak barrels for one year before being bottled
without filtration. A lush, chewy Cabernet with chocolate and coffee
flavors intermingled with the ripe black cassis. Surprise your friends
with this wine, that they will believe is a $25 Napa Valley premium wine!

We are pleased to present this wonderful Malbec from the
Nieto Senetiner Winery in the Mendoza region of Argentina. The
modernization of facilities and wine making practices in Argentina are
becoming more evident in the increasing numbers of quality wines that are
continuing to come from the largest wine producing country in the world (1
in every 12 bottles produced in the world comes from Argentina). This
Malbec(which was the first to be granted DOC recognition in Argentina),
which is a traditional Bordeaux varietal, is a deeply colored and powerful
red with a great concentration of berry fruit. It has complex flavors of
plums, figs and dry fruit with spicy vanilla characteristics from its
maturation in French oak barrels. A perfect wi |

"Deep color, with complex, concentrated flavors to match. Has
an array of jam, raspberry, anise, black cherry, vanilla and spice flavors
that fold together nicely. Finishes with a long, full aftertaste. Has the
tannic structure to age, but is delicious now. Try between 1997 and 2005.
" -Wine Spectator - Rating: 96 "A full-bodied, youthful blend of 91%
Shiraz 9% Cabernet Sauvignon, with smoky, overripe cassis-scented wine
with massive body, and copious quantities of smoky, vanillin-scented new
oak, this moderately tannic, juicy, opulent, muscular Grange requires10-15
years of cellaring. It should last for 20+ years." - Robert Parker -

less concentrated than the monster 1981. Nevertheless, this is no shy
wine. Its weight and richness rival anything from California. However, the
1982 possesses more poise and, dare I say it, elegance than other Grange
vintages. The color remains an opaque ruby/purple, and the nose offers up
sweet aromas of berries, vanilla, toast, and herbs. Intense, full-bodied,
unctuously-textured, and moderately tannic, this youthful tasting Grange
Hermitage will benefit from another 3-4 years of cellaring; it should keep
for at least 15 more years." -Robert Parker - RP Rating: 95 "A rich and

Blend: 95% Shiraz/5% Cabernet Sauvignon. "The 1990 is the
greatest, most complete and richest Grange since the monumental 1986. It
rivals the 1986, 1982, 1981, and 1980 as the finest "young" Grange. The
wine's opaque purple color is followed by a sweet nose of jammy
black-raspberry and cassis fruit intermingled with scents of minerals,
licorice, and toasty oak. Extremely full-bodied, with that layered,
multi-dimensional feel that sets a truly profound Grange apart from just
an outstanding one, the wine is fabulously concentrated, unctuous, and
with a finish that lasts over 50 seconds. It is oh, so young, and in need
of 5-10 years of cellaring. It should last through the first two decades
of the 21st century." -Robert Parker - Rating |

Shiraz is the most famous vine grown in all of Australia,
including the Hunter Valley. This 2002 Black Springs Shiraz is made from
grapes that were picked at optimum ripeness and fermented under controlled
conditions. The wine was aged for 12 months in French and American oak
puncheons (a type of barrel) before bottling. The result is a rich and
flavorful, intensely colored, tremendously concentrated wine selection -
slightly spicy, smooth and with a tinge of luscious chocolate. The wine is
approachable and will definitely appreciate with time in your cellar. This
full-bodied blockbuster is sure to be to enjoyed with powerfully flavored
meals of red meats and sauces.
