Biodiversity is just the variety among living organisms on the earth in a certain geographic location.

Threats to Biodiversity

1. Decline of Freshwater Ecosystems~ Freshwater ecosystems are home to many different species. Dams, pollution, overfishing, and other threats are killing off species which is causing there to be fewer variation in that particular area.
2. Human Population Growth~ As the world keeps getting more and more populated, us humans need to make more room for us all to survive therefore we build more houses, and cause more pollution killing of species left and right, which also leads to less variation of species.
3. Pollution~ We humans are getting more and more careless about what we do, we throw trash on the ground, and in the waters, build factories that give off smoke polluting our air, we just don't seem to care anymore by polluting our earth we are destroying many habitats and ecosystems, therefore killing of species.

My opinion on Biodiversity

I think that it is our fault that everything is slowly disappearing and dying off. I think that we people have just gotten to careless and to involved in our own lives to realize what is really happening. I think that we should take some time out of our busy schedules and think of some ways we can help out all those ecosystems and species we have ruined. I think that we need to try and save and keep all the wonderful plants and animals we have now, because at the rate we are going at there is going to end up being nothing left, which would eventually mean we would die off to.
