Coach Smith is a new addition to the West staff this year. She is currently in her third year of teaching in the Learning Center and of coaching. Coach Smith has worked with 7th & 8th grade track athletes at Fort Osage in Independence and Raytown. Her career as a track athlete began as an elementary student in AAU Junior Olympics and ended at Central Missouri State University as a long and triple jumper. One of her goals as a coach is to help make the track experience at West be as memorable and enjoyable as her track experiences have been .
