Coach Doug Brown has been coaching Track at West for the last 18 years. He has been teaching Physical Education in Shawnee Mission for 31 years. Coach Brown was a thrower in high school. He threw all three(shot,discus,javelin)events. He has coached two state champs in the discus throw,three current building record holders. He loves watching Olympic competition in track. He just wishes there would be more coverage on the throws. He is very optimistic about this years team at West.
