The Closet

These are the old updates from oldest upward, meaning the very first news is at the very bottom of the page, and the more recent updates are up here on top.  Megumi's Palace doesn't have much of a history yet, but archiving always helps.

It has been a year since the events at the World Trade Center, and today I wish to dedicate this recording to the victims of the tragedy and to encourage our United States of America to stand strong in God's strength and say "It is well with my soul." (This hymn was written in 1873 by Horatio G. Spafford; the music in 1876 by Philip P. Bliss.)

Oy... I started school today.  That means that I'll have about an hour a day to use my computer.  -_-;  If I'm lucky, maybe an hour and a half.  I'll have to work fast... which is against my character.  :p  Well, today I'm going to let you have a peek at my cutest work: (AB) SD confetti!!  It will brighten your day (I hope)!

No real update today.  Megumi's just lonely and feels like talking. :-p  Actually, there could've been an update if Megumi weren't feeling ill... oh well!
I just wanted to address one issue: "Why doesn't Megumi have many rooms?"  Well, as you can see, I do have a few rooms in construction.  These anime rooms won't be open until I've finished each respective anime series.  I've seen the first few episodes of over 40 anime, and if I built a room for each one, I'd have 40+ pages with five words at most for each page.  As a rule, I only build rooms for anime that I have enjoyed and finished watching.
Now you may be thinking, "Forty plus anime!?  Where does Megumi get all this anime??"  Well, I have part of a subscription to Netflix.  Netflix is pretty much an online DVD library.  You can visit their site for details on their free trial.  A subscription costs $20 a month for up to three DVDs at a time.  Here's a tip for the preteen to early teen anime fans: if you can get your parents or an older sibling to register the Netfilx account for you, offer to pay the $20 a month.  If you can't make that kind of money fast enough, try getting some fellow anime watchers together and pool your money.  ^_^  I'd also like to warn you: Netflix probably doesn't have everything you want, and you can bet that the popular anime that they have will be in high demand.  Be sure you have a long enough list of DVDs to watch so you won't be wasting that $20 every month... some stuff is Long Wait.  I subscribed to Netflix because they had some anime that I couldn't find at local movie rentals... so don't abandon your Blockbuster!  ^_~  [End free advertising]

Today we get a change in color plan and background.  I still have doubts about the colors, so any suggestions you may have about the background and text color can go right here!
I've also heard from a few people that some of the text on some of my pages doesn't show up properly.  If the text looks boring in Times New Roman, it's probably because you don't have the font I've used to make the page, or because I chose boring Times New Roman.  ^_~  This  will not be the case in most of my pages, but just to make sure, I've put the font name at the bottom of the page.

I have put up my little art gallery... because some people have had complaints about not being able to see my Escaflowne stained glass wallpaper.  The gallery currently has only three things in it, and all three are my Escaflowne fanart.  I have also put up my pocket bishounen page... just for the fun of it.  ^_^

Happy American Independence Day!  May your fireworks never fizzle but go out with a magnificent bang!  ^_^  God bless America!  Let us be "one nation under God, indivisible..."
Well, well, some guests have been having problems with the sound files.  That may be my fault...  I'm still not too good at web-building and all that.  The problem should be fixed now.  Please enjoy!

Today I have for you a recording of me playing the piano and attempting to add vocals.  If you would like to hear this sad attempt... it's right here.  It's "Forever Rachel" from Final Fantasy VI.  I think later I'll just have the piano.
If I get around to recording my whole list, I'll open up the music hall and put all of my recordings - impressions, music, and all - up there.

(06/1/2002)
I just put a short mp3 in storage... if you're interested, you may access it here.  It's basically just a fan-recording of "Thesis of the Cruel Angel" from Neon Genesis Evangelion.  Since anime intros hardly ever use the entire song, this is just the first part.  It's just my voice; there's no accompaniment or background music.  I recorded it just for fun, and at a request from a really good friend of mine.  Don't expect too many recordings... I'm not the best, and it's hardly ever quiet it my "studio" anymore.
Well, I guess I'll add a couple more.  They're in Cowboy Bebop.  ^_^
The Escaflowne room has also been slightly updated.

(05/15/2002)
I've opened a new room for Escaflowne.  I've noticed that most of my rooms are just big anime ads.... but I don't quite know exactly what to do about it...  Well, I've put up a wallpaper that I made in my Escaflowne page, so please drop in and see it.

Welcome... I just moved in, so it might feel a little empty.  Like the decoration so far?  (Kudos to Ammo, great stuff)  Feel free to explore some of the rooms... you might find someplace to stay for a while!  If you check in every now and then, you'll find that I've been unpacking more stuff, getting more furniture, and filling up more rooms!  ^_~

For those who don't know much Japanese... the terms I use will be listed at the bottom of the pages they appear on, with the (basic) definitions for those terms given.  I don't know too much Japanese myself... so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out on your own.

I suppose a lot of the palace will be filled with mostly anime, but I'll be working on putting in more video games and maybe a little more art and some music.  Suggestions would be welcome; just drop me a line or visit my message boards .

I use my closet mainly for storage... so I'll be storing this until I can download it to my other computer... the one with more space and a faster connection.
