Partners Of The Prairie is a troop of cowboy poets and balladeers
who travel the roads of the Midwest, keeping the great American
tradition of the west alive through their God given talents as
cowboy entertainers.
Partners
Of The Prairie
was formed and organized by group leader and cowboy poet Leonard
Hitz to fulfill a growing need with the present resurgence of
interest in an art that is as old as the American cowboy himself.
The
members of Partners Of The Prairie have all been raised in and
among the agra-cattle business, and their material reflects the
true working knowledge, humor, and heart of the true American
Cowboy. We strive to not only entertain you in a clean and
wholesome manner, but also give you and insight to the Cowboy's
way of logic, faith, and values.
As
part of our way of demonstrating and witnessing our faith in God,
the Partners also offer Cowboy Church Services.
This
is a wonderful way to celebrate the Christian experience, done
up cowboy style!
Recently,
we had the honor of traveling to Germany to perform for our
fighting troops! As a group, we have long held fast to the believe
that we live in the greatest country in the world, and we believe
in honoring our brave men and women who have served
in the military.
You
are sure to find that each program presented by Partners Of The
Prairie will transport you back for awhile to both the Old and
New West via our distinct syleling of wonderful cowboy poetry,
cowboy songs, and cowboy humor.
So
Pard, pull up a chair, and browse around our site here; tell us
what you like, and what you don't like all that much. But most

The
Partners Of The Prairie
Ladies
and Gentlemen, we proudly present our state song Home On
The Range!
Oh,
give me a home where the buffalo roam
Where the deer and the antelope play
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day
Home,
home on the range
Where the deer and the antelope play
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day
Oh
give me a land where the bright diamond sands
Flow leisurely down the stream
Where the lilly white swan swims gracefully along
Like a maid in a heavenly dream
How
often at night when the heavens are bright
With the light from the glittering stars
Have I stood there amazed and asked as I gazed
If their glory exceeds that of ours
Home,
home on the range
Where the deer and the antelope play
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day
Where
the air is so pure, the zephyrs so free
The breezes so balmy and light
That I would not exchange my home on the range
For all of the cities so bright
Home,
home on the range
Where the deer and the antelope play
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day
Oh,
I love those wild flow'rs in this dear land of ours
The curlew, I love to hear scream
And I love the white rocks and the antelope flocks
That graze on the mountaintops green
The
Red Man was pressed from this part of the West
it's unlikely he'll ever return
To the banks of the river where seldom, if ever
his flickering campfire still burns
Home,
home on the range
Where the deer and the antelope play
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day
