Allen D. Bailey

Allen was born on a farm near Gate, Oklahoma in 1954. He has always had a love and appreciation of the cowboy way of life.

Learning to play the guitar at the age of 13, Allen has been singing and performing every since, and writes most of the songs and poems that he performs.

Like most kids growing up during the fifties, Allen was exposed to the movies and music of Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, and Hop-a-long Cassidy. Although these stars of the silver screen were influential, his real cowboy hero was T.J.(Jeff) Hazelton; and old cowboy and bronc buster from Ingalls, Kansas, who taught Allen that the true cowboy loves not only his horse, but also has a deep appreciation for God, mother earth, and his fellow man.

As a cowboy entertainer, Allen has performed for literally thousands of people from all over the world, doing poetry, Old West history, cowboy songs, trick rope spinning, and even magic tricks for kids.

On February 21, 2000, during the city council meeting of the City of Dodge City, Kansas, Allen was appointed as the official Dodge City Marshal by the Mayor of Dodge: The Honorable Gerald H. Schmidt, and the city commissioners!
