Notes
In the census of 1808, he is listed as living at Fischau #9. He came from the
village of Lakendorf, Prussia. However, Unruh (p. 337) also says he came from
the village of Krebsfelde. He was single in 1803 when he came to Russia. The
1835 census lists him at Fischau #11, and says he came to Russia in 1803. His
wife in 1835 is named Maria. I do not know when he married her, or how many
of his later children were hers. I am arbitrarily listing all of the children
born after 1819 as the children of his second wife.
