No Olympics in Osaka.

I want to say out loud, "Hey, Osaka! Don't have the next Olympics!! Stop and take a hard look at yourself! Look around and think of not only yourself but also other prefectures." Have you ever imagined what would happen if the Olympics were held in Osaka? Have you ever seen how they have promoted it with emphasis so long? Every day the broadcasters tell us unpleasant news of Osaka Prefecture. I am really ashamed of appealing Osaka, such a messy city, as the best place for the biggest sports festival in the world. They must have many crucial problems such as the distrust of Osaka politics, the environmental matters and the others, which are always surrounding us in our daily life. In addition to set up the new facilities in Osaka, where the Olympics have never taken place for them would cost huge money. Nowadays Japan has been in a financial crisis. If Japan wants to get this situation better, they should use their brain and think hard the way of making good use of the money. They must have forgotten that they had two Olympics before and still have the good facilities in Japan.
Osaka is one of the most infamous trouble-making prefectures and most of the citizens in Osaka are suspicious of the Osaka government. One cause of the distrust is the sexual harassment committed by Osaka Prefecture governer, Mr. Yokoyama. He completely denied, but he paid a lot of money to the woman, who tried to sue, and dropped the case; he hushed it up. This action was enough to make the Osaka citizens angry. The movement for resignation to his post has been suggested so much everywhere in Osaka. To make matters worse, many officials were arrested by corruption. For instance, in a public tender of public residential building, one official told the bidding price to one Construction Company and got money from it in return.
You know, Osaka has the history as a representative big trade city of Japan from a long time ago. Now it has a huge coastal industrial region, which was successfully developed, and many attractive conditions; there are lots of head offices of famous companies and means of access to anywhere in the world, such as the international and domestic airports, big ports, many highways, bullet trains and subway commuters.
Apparently, Osaka seems to be the suitable city for the great games of the world, but Osaka is also notorious for environmental pollution. The air is dirty and everywhere the city is crowded with people and noisy. The drinking water is so smelly that we cannot drink it without boiling it once. Also we can say that it is one of Osaka citizens' character to park their cars illegally and throw trash away everywhere on the road, especially in the city. Included in the bad habits of our people, we live in Osaka, holding these problems everyday. Therefore I don't want the people who come to Japan first to come to Osaka as the first place and get Japan wrong that Japan is such a stressful place. I believe that Osaka is in bad condition internally and also superficially for the Olympics. I really worry that Osaka would be the shame of Japan.
Osaka also really expects to have the economic reconstruction from this world sports festival, because Osaka has financial problems seriously. One of the reasons why some of the prefectures desperately want to invite the Olympics to their area is to be able to get big benefits from that big event. They could build everything they need to have the games, like the stadiums to play games, hotels to let the athletes stay during the Olympic season, and regulate traffic with some contribution from the Japanese government. Then the prefecture, in which the Olympics would take place, could gather many people all over the world, then they can be famous and the get a lot of money from people. Also they could have attractive facilities and use them to make people's life more convenient and to gather clientele even after the Olympics is over. Consequently inviting those big events would become the trigger of being an energetic city.
On the other hand if we build those buildings we would result in a waste of time and money. Since we had Olympics in the past and built the facilities for it at that time. I really wonder and suggest that we could have the Olympics in those area where had it before, such as Tokyo and Nagano. In these days we need to do the recycle, not only think of creating the new things but also think of making good use the old things. We already have the wonderful equipments in those areas. Why don't we invite the Olympics there and arrange those buildings for them, instead of set the new place. Then and the people living in the area where took place the Olympics before might offer much better services to the foreigners and athletes because they had have the same kind of experiences. Then we could save the resources, times and big money. Also we don't need to worry about the destruction of another environment more. If the Olympics come to take place in Osaka, many people in the world would come to Japan. For some of them it might be their first time to see Japan, so they would consider Osaka, as "this is the JAPAN". I am really afraid that their first impression of Japan would be bad by seeing Osaka, the clouded and the dirty city. I love my country, so I really want them to like Japan and feel that here is a beautiful and agreeable country to stay in. Also it is sure that inviting the Olympics new areas would d cause much more troubles than the benefits, which many prefecture expected. So IOC, please don't have the Olympics in Osaka. If you really want to have it in Japan you should choose Tokyo or Nagano again, thinking very carefully about our situation now. @@
