The Lone Gunmen
1AEB79 Pilot

The Lone Gunmen pilot was highly entertaining! An extremly comical spoof of Mission: Impossible... with a Lone Gunmen twist! I couldn't help myself from laughing when we faded in and saw Beyers and Frohike running on the roof of the E-Com Con building... and with the perfect cue of music. Langly was a hit as well... "Uh... is there peanuts in this?" and then he falls to the floor.

I think my favorite part of the episode was the shot of Frohike going up and down continuously in front of a glass door! I was just dying of laughter!

We saw a whole new side of Langly... he was a little on the temper side... could you blame him... he's paranoid! It was very entertaining! Beyers is just as I expected... and Frohike was a little trippy... that is... he tripped a lot: In Beyers' father's house, in the junk yard (into mud! LOL)... it just wasn't his day.

this was a great pilot... the truth/investigation of Beyers' father's 'death'... the chip... the intense airplane ride... it was awesome! And I know what Langly was going through when the computer kept freezing on him... always happens when you need something done fast!

the ending of the episode felt so happy... thinking of a story for their front page... then finally getting the perfect one... with proof! the way Rob Bowman pulled back as all three of them crowded around the computer was a perfect ending.

I think this show could work... especially with the actors strike coming up... people will want to see quality acting/writing/directing over crappy reality TV! I'd rate this pilot a 3.8/5... which is good. It was a little slow sometimes... but that didn't hurt the story. I was highly entertained and can't wait for next weeks episode!
