The Crawford Co. Firefighters Association was formed in April of 1992. The association was formed to gather together the firefighters of Crawford County, Kansas in an effort to have a single voice in getting improvements for the fire service in Crawford County. There are 18 Fire departments in this county. The majority of the fire departments are totally volunteer. With (2) having fulltime staff and (1) career fire department. Crawford County is over 658 Sq. miles and is represented by over 200 firefighters from its fire departments. Radios, portables, bunker gear, etc. have been provided to most of the departments that had none. The association is looking to bring more to the fire service of Crawford County in the future. We meet on the fourth Thursday of January, April, July, & October at a different place each time. Our officers are as follows:

Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service
Was held at held at Girard, KS. on October 15th. at 2:00 PM.
