Hello All,
First off I want to express my sympathies to the families who have lost love ones, or friends in the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Next, I would like to send my prayers out to the families of the fire fighters, police, paramedics, and other rescue workers, and volunteers who have lost their lives trying to save others. I would also like to send my prayers out to the fire fighters, police, paramedics, rescue workers, and volunteers who are helping the survivors and families of the victims. Plus, I would like to send my thoughts and prayers out to the military families and troops who have been deployed to help protect this great country we live in. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your tireless everyday work, during wartime and peacetime. I know the endless hours you work and the stress you go through. I just want to thank all of you Marines, Soldiers, Airmen, Seamen, and Reservists. I can sleep easy at night because of your hard work. Lastly, I would like to thank all of you who have offered your prayers and support for my family during this time. I appreciate them all. You are truly beautiful people.
I urge all of you readers to show support for the relief effort in New York and Washington, and Pennsylvania. Donate time, money and blood. Hang an American Flag, or dress up your website in patriotic colors.
Let’s try to get back to our normal routine. I know that is hard for a lot of us, but we can’t let this prevent us from doing the things we love to do. If we do then we have let them win. We can get through this. It will be a long healing process, but if we can continue to stick together the way we have in the past weeks, we will get though this.
I have said this before, but I will say it yet again. I am proud of us Americans. When the waves of trouble wash over us, we stand tall. There has been an out pouring of American spirit and pride in the past weeks. Stores cannot keep our Flag in stock. They have pulled out the left over Independence Day decorations and they sold them all. All across the U.S. there are Red, White, and Blue. In the parking lots of our stores, in our windows and yards, in the windows and halls of our schools, they are there. I have never in my short 20 years on this Earth seen or heard such pride in our nation. Before this, we complained about the way our Government was run. We complained about the congressmen and women and the way the economy was going down the hill. The newspaper editorial cartoons were full of puns on our leaders, now they are full of displays of American pride.
It is sad that it has taken this to bring out our patriotism, but in the same effect it is comforting to know that when tragedy does strike we can bond together and rise above it. Keep it up America. Support our troops. And our heroes. God Bless America!
If you want to help there are many ways in which to do so. Follow the links below and show your patriotism.
Peace, love and butterflies,
