Hello everyone this page is dedicated to my thyroid cancer story. It started in July 2005, when I first saw a lump the size of a large walnut on my neck, and went to the doctor to have it check it. The doctor decided he would send me to a specialist, and at that time I went to go see the thyroid doctor he told me that he was not sure if it was cancer or not but that he could do FNB (Fine Needle Biopsy) as well as some blood cultures..well at the last minture he said that he thinks that I should just have it removed, and not worry about the FNA because they sometimes give people a false negative. The needle can go into a part of the thyroid that doesn't have the cancer cells in it and give the false negative result. So I went to surgery and I had cancer on both sides of my thyroid the test done on it said I had large masses on both sides. Well to say the least I will scared still because you know you here about cancer coming back and all the bad things you know. However as time begain to move on and test after test startd coming back negative I was getting alittle bit more comfortable with everything and so you have me here today, extremely blessed. I would love to talk to anyone that can relate to this story or anyone that would just like to talk to someone that has went thru the process, so dont be shy.
