The First Baptist Church of Winfield is actively affiliated with the American Baptist Churches USA, and the American Baptist Churches of the Central Region. We are a Church that offers a variety of activities for all ages. Church School Classes, Bible Study, Worship, fellowship, Children and Youth programs, music, community involvement, and mission are all a vital part of who we are and what we do.
The First Baptist Church of Winfield was organized in 1870. In 1880 the cornerstone of the current sanctuary building was laid. First Baptist Church has a rich history marked by dreams and visions, hopes and aspirations, faithfulness and sacrifice, strong spirit and fierce determination. We are a people willing to work for the cause of Christ's mission so that the Kingdom of God here on earth might be fulfilled. God has richly blessed and guided us each step of the way. He continues to call us to new avenues of service and witness in His Name. Our ongoing ministry is a testimony to the fidelity, generosity and faith of each generation.
