One hundred years from now...
It will not matter What kind of school I attended, What kind of typewriter I used,
How large or small my church,
But the world may be ... a little better because...
I was important in the life of a child.

April 16th, 2000
1. Between March 20th through April 7th our family was on vacation.
3. Finally, after weeks of anticipation (15wks LMP) and excitement...I felt the baby move! It's not consistent, and sometimes I even doubt what I'm feeling (going a day or more at a time with only the faintest of flutters)...but there are those definite moments when you just know.
4. Also, our most recent doctor's appointment to check out the "baby maker" went without a hitch (April 12th): I'd gained 6lbs (which is aproximately 12lbs total), my blood pressure was good, my urine sample was good, my uterus was 1-2 finger widths below my belly button and the heart rate was at a steady 160bpm.
We've arranged for another pretnatal check up in about four weeks (May 10th). This one is going to be the BIG appointment too: rechecking dates, checking for any abnormalities and such as well as...SEX!!! I can't wait to get a peek at our "little miracle".

5 Months Pregnant
And then, upon our return home, we replayed the entire scene once more with ANOTHER episode of Easter Egg Coloring and Easter Baskets (readying for when the girls wake up tomorrow morning). Making messes and dying fingers in multiple colors, and really just generally enjoying each other's company.
The rest of the evening was spent in friendly "Father/Daughter" bonding time (usually involving some sort of gun - in this case a bee bee gun - and fairly loud 80's rock music) while I worked dilligently on this entry (and laughed hysterically at the antics of father and daughters in various "cowboy" phases of the evening).

April 23rd, 2000
Easter Morning began at dawn at our house with the squeaky cry of "Mommy, the Easter bunny came!" (thank you Erin, it's not like mommy wanted to SLEEP or anything). Thus began Easter at the Lindley house hold. I proceeded to get up and supervise the baskets (which means: watching as disgusting amounts of chocolate went down my daughters' throats before 8am in the morning) and then ushered them into the living room to find the Easter Bunny's hidden eggs in our own version of the Easter Egg Hunt (held indoor mind you...I'm not stupid enough to go outside that early in the morning).
After a quick bath and change into clean clothes (and a much needed brushing of teeth) we proceeded to the second phase of Easter: the actual, Easter Day.
There the main event commenced. Surrounded by cousins (Michaela - 10 and Ash'Lee - 6), aunts (Yvonne - 30; Ash'Lee's mother and Laura - 29; Mikki's mother) and Nana (Brian's mother)...the girls delved into over flowing Easter Baskets, numerous candy laden Easter Egg Hunts and a few spins on the family Tire Swing. Finally concluding the day with a delicious feast of: baked ham, mashed potatos, green beans, and pineapple and strawberries with a dessert of Easter Cup-Cakes.
