Thomas Robinson Johnson
Company "M"
by
James Richard Johnson
Thomas Robinson Johnson, served as a private in Company M., at the time of his enlistment his family lived in Wabaunsee county Kansas at the Dragoon Creek settlement near Harveyville. His father (my Great-great-grandfather), James E. Johnson was the founder of the Dragoon Creek settlement in 1857.
One of his brothers served with the Union Army and was lost during Grant's Mississippi river campaign. His oldest brother served for years in the Kansas Legislature. Thomas Robinson Johnson eventually settled in Streator, Illinois where he sired my grandfather, Albert Richard Johnson and where my father Albert Mobray Johnson was born in 1917. Thomas Robinson Johnson is buried in the Streator cemetary with a military stone. I have attached a picture which you have permission to use as you like.
Regards,
James Richard Johnson
