Cryptograms:

What they are and how to solve them

Cryptograms are a sentence where the real letters are substituted with fake letters.  For example, if a word in the sentence is "the," the word in a cryptogram might look like "wpr."   The letter 't' is substituted with a 'w', the 'h' substituted with a 'p,' and the 'e' substituted with an 'r.'
There are many ways to solve cryptograms, but I'll give you a starting point, and you can develop your own technique from there.  I have decided to seperate this "tutorial" into chapters.   Each chapter will have an example cryptogram at the top, and I'll go through an explanation of how to solve the puzzle from start to finish.  At the end of each sesson, I will give a simple cryptogram that will reinforce the lesson discussed in the chapter.
If you have any questions, Just send me an e-mail.  I check my e-mail every night if possible, for those who need help and wish to ask that way.
