Meet the Cast of the Pokemon TV show

Main Character’s

Ash Ketchum- In the beginning, he starts out as a 10 years old boy who has an amazing dream, to become the greatest and strongest Pokemon Master of all time. You will usually find Ash wearing his blue and white coat, his green gloves, jeans, a black T-shirt, and his Pokemon League hat, which is red, white, and has a symbol in green representing the Pokemon League on the front of it. Ash is a good person, he has a little flatus, but he always learns from his actions. As he grows, he learns more and more about what the true meaning of Being a Pokemon Master is. But he doesn’t do it alone, he always has his friends to help him out. Ash catch's any Pokemon he finds, right now his Pokemon team is made up of Pikachu, Charizard, Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Lapras. The rest of his Pokemon are either out in the wild or at Oak's house. Pikachu is Ash's best Pokemon, and his best friend.

Pikachu- As most Pokemon fans would know is a electric type Pokemon. It’s not that tall, and is called an electric mouse. Pikachu is yellow, with black ear tips, two small round red spots on his cheeks, 3 brown strips on it’s back, and a Thunder Bolt shaped Tail which is yellow and brown. In the game boy game it’s not the strongest Pokemon, but it’s a good one. Pikachu is Ash’s first Pokemon, and best friend. Ash’s Pikachu doesn’t have a nick name, but it doesn’t need one. A poll in Japan before the TV show was ever made showed that even before the show, Pikachu was a top favorite Pokemon. Who knows why, but for all you people who thinks Pikachu’s only popular because of the TV show, think again. Pikachu, in the TV Show, is a power pack. It’s strength is amazing for it’s type and training. Pikachu may be Ash’s best friend, but it also might be his strongest too. It may even be stronger then Ash’s Charizard. Pikachu evolves into Raichu with a thunder stone, but refuse’s to in the Show. Ash’s Pikachu had the chance to evolve, but didn’t. As the series unfolds, I’m sure Pikachu and Ash will always be fighting side by side together. So remember, not all Pikachu’s are Ash’s Pikachu, their wild Pikachu’s just like any other Pokemon. If you catch a Pikachu, don’t expect it to be super powerful, cause chances are it won’t be.

Secondary Main Characters

Misty, Brock and Team Rocket are main characters, but the show can go on with out them. If something happened to Ash or Pikachu, Pokemon the animated series, would never be the same.

Misty- A young girl from Cerulean City, home of the great water Pokemon Gym. Misty meet’s Ash one day when Ash and Pikachu are frantically trying to escape a mad flock of Spearow’s. After borrowing Misty’s bike with out her permission, he gets it totaled when Pikachu jump’s up into the air and unleashes a super Powerful attack, aided by a bolt of lighting hitting it at the exact moment it attacked. When Misty finds her burnt up Bike, she’s very mad. After that day she vow’s to follow Ash until she gets a new bike. About 10 episodes into the series, Misty stops caring about her bike as much and keeps traveling with Ash as a friend and not a burden. Misty plans on being the best water Pokemon trainer in the world, but doesn’t do a good job at showing it. Unlike Brock, Misty’s still traveling with Ash, and who knows how much longer she will. They’ve become great friends. Misty's bride and joy is Togepi, a baby Pokemon who's looks like an egg. But don't be fooled by it's looks. It had great power's with in. If you saw the Pokemon show "Pikachu Re-Volts" you'd know what I mean.

Brock- The Leader of the Pewter City Gym joined up with Ash when his father convinced him to go follow his dream as being the greatest Pokemon breeder. He gave Ash his first badge. Brock specializes in Rock Pokemon at first, but soon start’s getting what ever he can, like a Zubat and a Vulpix. His other Pokemon are Onix and Geodude. Brock, Misty and Ash become best buddies, but that all ends when Brock leave’s the group. I won’t say any more, just in case you never saw that episode. All I can say is that in the newest Pokemon episodes, Brock’s gone, and a new guy named Tracy Sketchet has joined the group.

Jessie, James and Meowth- Team Rocket is an evil organization that wants to rule the world using Pokemon. Most of the members are pretty smart, but these 3 aren't. James, Jessie and Meowth work together in team Rocket, the pull each other down too. The 3 of them are probably the worst member's in the entire Team Rocket, they just can't ever get a break. In every show, the 3 of them confront Ash and his friends, try to steal some Pokemon, and always get blown away... at least most of the time the do. Unlike some of the other member's of Team Rocket, Jessie and James wear white suits with a big red R in the middle of them. Each time they approach some one, the usually greet them with the dumb Motto, "Prepare for trouble, Make it Double..." you've heard it before. Some times the change the beginning, but it's usually the same. Jessie's Pokemon are Arbok and Lickitung while James are Weezing and Victreebell. Meowth is a Pokemon, but unlike other Meowth of his kind, he can talk human talk. It comes in handy, giving him the ability to talk to both humans and Pokemon, and translate Pokemon for humans. He's a white cat with a Gold charm on top of his head. Together, Jessie, James and Meowth make up very funny combination..... Looks like Team Rocket is Blasting off again!

Tracy Sketchet- A very new character to the Pokemon series. He replaces Brock as part of the team. I can't say much about him now, because I've only seen 4 shows with him in it. He's trying to become a great Pokemon Watcher, some one who travel's the land, searching for Pokemon just to watch and draw. I know for certain that he has 3 Pokemon. Venonat, Marril and Scyther. When he found out that Ash and Misty knew Professor Oak, he insisted that he join them. Oak is his hero.

Other Character's in the Show

There are some other characters that are in the show that don't appear in it much, but when they do play pretty big roles.

Gary Oak- Ash's home town Rival. Gary is always snooty and snobby, and thinks he's all that, but later on in the Pokemon series you find out that he's not nearly as good as he brags to be.

Professor Oak- Gray's Grandfather, and a very famous Pokemon Researcher. He lives in Pallet town, and was the person who gave Ash Pikachu. He lives up on a hill, with a huge Pokemon reserve in his back yard. He's always studding Pokemon, trying to find out new things, and he never stops from the time he wakes up in the morning to when he goes to bed at night.

Ash's Mom- You never find out her name in the series, you only hear he called either "Mom", "Ash's Mom" or "Miss Ketchum". Like any mother of a 10 year old, she's always worrying about him, hoping he's doing the best he can. Plus, she always reminds him to change him under-wear.

Nurse Joy- At every Pokemon center there's a Nurse Joy, they all look alike because their all related in some ways. Plus their all named Joy. Ash and his friends have gotten to know some of them better then the others though. Nurse Joy works along side the Pokemon Chansey.

Officer Jenny- Is the Police Officer in most big city's. Just like the Joy family, every Jenny look's the same, are named Jenny, and are related in some way. You get mixed up after seeing all of them together.

Any other character's aren't main character's, so I didn't make a write up of them. If new character's come into the show, expect some info on them too.
