McKinney, Texas, Sept. 25, 1944
Mr. C.F. Sattler, Naper Neb.

Dear Mr. Sattler:

My son, 2nd Lt. Pat N. Roberts Jr., was one of the victims of the plane crash near Naper on August 5. I understand that you were a witness to the crash, and would appreciate your writing me all the information you have. The press dispatches received by Texas papers were very meager in details, so my wife and I are anxious to hear from eye witnesses.

Lt. Charles V. Porter, also a victim of the crash, lived only 3 miles from here, and his parents are anxious to have all the information they can get. I will furnish them a copy of your letter.

We hope, when conditions will permit, to drive up there to see the place the accident occurred, and will look forward to talking with you and any others who might give us any details of the accident.

A stamped, addressed envelope is enclosed. Thanking you in advance for the favor herein requested,

I am very sincerely yours

Signed (Pat N Roberts)
