"I'm the Dude. So that's
what you call me. That, or Duder.
His Dudeness. Or El Duderino, if,
you know, you're not into the whole
brevity thing--"
-The Dude
"A way out west there was a fella,
fella I want to tell you about, fella
by the name of Jeff Lebowski. At
least, that was the handle his lovin'
parents gave him, but he never had
much use for it himself. This
Lebowski, he called himself the Dude.
Now, Dude, that's a name no one would
self-apply where I come from. But
then, there was a lot about the Dude
that didn't make a whole lot of sense
to me. And a lot about where he
lived, like- wise. But then again,
maybe that's why I found the place
s'durned innarestin'."

Quotes
Book Covers
Most are shocked when I say I liked this film better than "Fargo." In fact most don't agree with me. I mean, don't get me wrong, I loved Fargo, there was just something
about "The Big Lebowski" that excited me. It was fun/ny from start to finish. As
a general rule, I don't think that TV actors transfer well to film. But I have to give it
to John Goodman. He pulled this off like no one else could have. When I came out of the theatre,
my side hurt, I was laughing so hard. Movies like this give me faith that good movies are still
being made. God bless the Coens.
