Roman Government
The Roman System of govenment can be divided into sections. The first
type
of Roman governent was a Monarchy. The Romans tired of kings quite
early
and designed a Res Publica, or the "Public Domain". This Republic,
as it is
called, was the form of government that lasted the longest. Even
the early
dictators that followed said they were defending the Republic while they
ruled as autocratic despots.
