The Egyptian Afterlife

The Most Important part of the Egyptian life was what happened after it was over.  The possibility of eternal life was originally reserved only for the Pharoah and family.  Later this possibility was extended to all Egyptians; rich, poor, low born or nobles.  The steps that were taken to ensure happiness in the afterlife were both elaborate and complex.  This page will touch on only part of the Egyptian views of death and the life after.  If you are interested in this topic, a list of books for further research is given in the teacher's corner.
