Quotes of the moment

"If you think sex is "simple," you're missing most of the fun. Sex is the single most complex act a human being can engage in, with the possible exception of differential calculus... which is considerably narrower in scope.
Sex is science. Sex is poetry. Sex is prose. Sex is communication. Sex is athleticism. Sex is performance. Sex is dance. Sex is an act of trust. Sex is an act of personal expression. Sex is an act of exploration. Sex is an act of submission, and simultaneously an act of domination.
Hell, sometimes it's even an act of procreation.
Attempting to restate something so inherently complex as an "insert tab A into slot B" procedure garnered from the instruction manual for a cheap pre-fab bookcase is, well... kinda poor."

Hmm, let's see. Who's looked at my poems? 382 victims by 7/1/99 (when I bailed out of Geocities), and counting...

Welcome to Lone Owl's Roost. The writings here are the story of my emotions and actions, odd and fanciful as they may seem. Feel free to poke around. I'm Lone Owl, a disturbed twenty-year-old now attending the Savannah College of Art and Design (or SCAD for short). Since poetry is one of the things I like to do, I decided to put some of it up on the net -- along with quotes from other people that I've found devastatingly appropriate. They are classified by emotion, because (almost) all of my poems and ramblings are about how I feel. Now go look -- that's why you're here, isn't it?

What's New:

* Oh my goodness. It's been over twenty years since I put up this repository of poetry. I'm surprised at how little has broken with the transition all the way up thru HTML5. I've gone ahead and re-targeted the external links to the Wayback Machine so that you can see what should have been on the other end of them, and removed the link for posting on the guestbook as that was one of the casualties of time. Otherwise I will leave this site as a relic of its time and the person who I was then. I'm actually grateful that someone out there decided to keep Angelfire still going even tho they must have been tempted at some point to sell off the name to some bigger company that would have just ended up destroying it by trying to wring every last penny out of it. It's nice to be able to still find traces of the Internet-That-Was.   (08/26/2020)

* It's been a very long time since I've done much of anything with this page, but people still seem to keep wandering in. To the now over 2000 total people who've read my work since I started putting it up on the web - thank you.   (10/21/01)

* Don't forget to sign the guestbook! I want to know what you think.

* If you feel the need for daily entertainment, check out Sluggy Freelance, the best comic strip I've ever read either online or off.
