Daryl Nickel, Byron James, Jessica Perry, Jon Fitzgerald and Michael Paull - Beautifully polished original songs & tastefully chosen covers

Bill Crahan & Scott Tishenor, Marianne Carter & Darrell Lea, Ardys & Bradford - Delightful duets - jazz, blues, folk, Celtic, classical, and beyond!

Flint Grey and Fortnight - What GREAT folk-rock bands!

And your's truly - "Pied Piper: The Rest of the Story"

We will return the first Tuesday after Labor Day with acts including

Check back toward the end of August for a complete schedule.

THANK YOU Lawrence Arts Center. Y'all have a great summer now, ya hear!

About the Tuesday Concert series

Larry Carter created the Tuesday Concert series seven years ago with the goal of providing a classy, low-pressure venue for local acoustic musicians. It was held at Signs of Life bookstore in downtown Lawrence until moving to the Lawrence Arts Center in the fall of 2010. As always, our thanks to Clay & staff at Signs of Life for their six years of hosting and to Susan and staff at the Lawrence Arts Center for this last year of hosting.

About the host

In addition to performing solo on a variety of instruments, Carter performs original, traditional & contemporary folk in the duo Forest Green and chants/world music in Whole Earth Kirtan. He is (was? will be?) sponsored by the Kansas Arts Commission as The Pied Piper of Lawrence, doing children's theater workshops and all-ages concerts. He is a four-time winner in the Kansas Fiddling & Picking Contest.

About FREE admission

Yes, admission is free. However, there are certain expenses involved with putting on this series, not to mention the talents of the musicians that would go otherwise unrewarded, so if you are able we hope you will support this series with a donation to the tip jar or purchase a CD.
