When you come home from a long day at school, and run to the cupboard
for a snack, what do you usually go for first? An apple? A celery stick?
Or are you looking for cookies? I'll bet you'd take the cookies! Sweets,
or junk food, is okay once in a while. But if you snack a lot, which
most kids do, you should try replacing some of the "junk" you eat with food
that is good for your body - and your teeth. Let's face it. If you
eat too many sweets, you will probably get cavities. Even if you brush.
So push those cookies aside, and grab a carrot instead! Your body, and your teeth, will
thank you for it!
TRY THIS:
1. Keep a bowl of fruit out on the kitchen table.
2. Ask someone to cut up fresh vegies and make some dip that can be kept in the fridge.
3. Cut up some fruit in a bowl, then add milk - it's very good.
4. Always have cheese slices and yogurt in the fridge for a fast snack.
There are so many delicious and healthy snack foods to chose from.
All you need to do is find out which ones you like!
