Hibernation

Hibernation simply means to sleep for a long period of time.
Bears hibernate for 5-7 months during one main season each year.
They do this because sufficient food can not be found at this time.
They can survive because their bodies live off of the fat
that has been stored before hibernation begins.
They will not wake up at all during this sleep.
