Hello and greetings from the Dominican Republic,
We have had a busy month or so since we last communicated with you. We had the privilege of attending my brother Mike's wedding in Miami, Florida. Mike and Liz were married on April 8th. It was great to be able to spend a couple of days with them and other family members.
We returned to the DR and tried to jump back into our schedule. Unfortunately we had severe trouble with the LCD projector that we use to present Evangelical movies. We were forced to cancel seven different appointments during the two weeks the unit was being repaired. Praise the Lord the projector has been fixed and we have been able to reschedule several of these presentations.
We had the opportunity to attend a married couples retreat over the weekend of May day. This was sponsored by the church where we attend- Rocas del Mar. It was attended by about 35 couples and we had a great time. They invited a locally known Christian psychologist and family counselor- he presented excellent talks.
And now most recently we just returned, yesterday, from the NorthEast region of the country. We were there showing videos for four nights and visiting churches. It was a great time. We stayed in the home of a wonderful Christian lady in the city of Sanchez. We presented videos each night to overflowing sanctuaries, in La Pasquala, La Majagua, Sanchez, and Las Terrenas. It was great to revisit these churches and the folks there.
What's on our agenda now? We have several appointments lined up to show videos in churches. And we are working on arrangements for a couple of work teams that will be visiting in the summer months.
Our son, Nathan, continues to grow and develop daily. He is now almost 17 months old- He talks and talks, but unfortunately neither Letty or I understand his language. He sure has a way of brightening our days.
