Find the names of the actual Pony Express way stations of Kansas and Nebraska, as recorded in the official history of the Pony Express for the US Government , Historic Resource Study: Pony Express National Historic Trail. This nearly three-hundred page volume was commissioned by the US Department of the Interior and The US National Park Service with Anthony Godfrey, Ph.D. as its editor. It was put together as a resource for State and Local governments, in conjunction with private citizens and organizations, working to preserve and present this historic piece of America. It contains within it's pages a map of the official route (with later changes), known history of each station, and photos of key players, advertisements and documents. It is definitely worth checking out if you get a chance.
Please note: Any words contained within parentheses (***), as well as Kansas and Nebraska are not found in the puzzle but are listed as part of the station's full name and as a point of reference.
