Koshur Samchar, a city based association of Kashmiri Pandits today strongly condemned the recent massacre of 24 innocent persons of the community in Nadimarg in the valley. The members of the association, who have migrated to the city, also passed a resolution to highlight the "incompetent manner in which Jammu and Kashmir government is handling security of the minority community in the state". The association regretted that security personnel took over four hours to reach the village where the massacre had taken place and expressed apprehensions about the safety of their remaining relatives in the valley. Association president Dilip Kher told PTI that migrant Pandits fear for safety of their relatives who are still in the disturbed valley and "are not being allowed to migrate to safer grounds by government". Kher said all the families that have shifted to various parts of Gujarat since 1990's feel safe and secure here but added that less than one per cent have visited the valley since leaving.
