Major Sushil Aima "For the masses, Kargil war may be history. But for the families who have lost sons, brothers, fathers and husbands, the battle still rages on. They are fighting a daily war within themselves, of their mind with the heart, a war of memories, a war of sentiments..............." Those are the sentiments and feelings of a Savitri Aima, sister of Shaheed Major Sushil Aima who laid down his life for the nation on 01-AUG-1999 in Poonch, J & K. Below, we reproduce the comments received by us from Savitri ji....... I was searching the web, to know the residence address of Shaheed Maj. Manoj Talwar and to my surprise found end number of websites. Yours being the first on the list, I started surfing through and was happy to see the way you have taken pains to pay tributes to all these Martyrs. Since my younger brother Major Sushil aima also became a martyr on 1st August'1999 at Poonch, I can imagine and feel the kind of happiness and pain the families are going through. I was going through the remembrance column in one of the news papers wherein I came across Maj. Talwars remembrance as well. His face reminds me of my brothers, hence that urge to know his family and see how they are moving on. Never the less, that I can find out. But let me wish you all the best to see the way you have come up with this web site. I was really wondering that how come no kashmiri has come up till date to pay tributes to end number of martyr's who sacrificed their lives for this nation and the place where they laid their lives was our rather whole nations blessed "Kashmir". Since soldier belongs to the whole nation first and then to any particular community, I guess we should also realise that and start working for "Humanity" rather than for one particular community.
With best regards and once again all the best
