GLOVER FAMILY My Father, 'Roy' Moore was born in Kingston, Tx, July 13, 1888. His father, Alfred Jackson Moore Decendants of Alfred Moore and Martha Bussell. was the son of SAMUEL PATSON MOORE and NANCY KIZER. KIZER PAGES Sameul P.Moore was one of the 'original' land owners in East TX. (place links here) Roy Moore was born into an era of many changes. He was born into a time when Texas was still open to homesteading. My father went from cattle drives in Texas and New Mexico, to seeing satalites sent into outerspace. Alfred Jackson Moore died while my father, JAmes Roy, was about 10 years old. Daddy and his older borther Sameul Richard Moore help support and care for their younger siblings. Thier mother MARTHA LOUZETTIE BUSSELL .BUSSELL PAGEStook her young family to SWISHER CO. TX., where her brothers helped here care for her chilren. The Moore /Bussell family moved to Portales N.M. during the close of the 1890's. Alfred had died in Celeste Tx, and is buried there. Mattie's brother William Thomas BUSSELL took his sister and her children to Swisher Co. TX. From there, they went to Portales N.M. where the BUSSELL'S were involved in building a cattle herd. Here the last of the children ALFRED RHODAM MOORE was born in 1898, and it is here that MArtha married JAMES MERCER WYAT, her last husband. He died in Portales around 1930. After Mattie married, My Father and his younger brother William Ray Moore drifted around, working vairous jobs of the era, cattle drives and railroads. Daddy eventluly married MAUDE WARNICA in Oklahoma Territory...... The couple had two children OPAL ANNIE MOORE and ALFRED LEON MOORE. For those interested in WARNICA, email Carol White. Maude Warnica Moore died in Colorado Springs, Co. 1925. James Roy Moore, being a Miller by trade, arrived in BIGGAR, SASKATCHEWAN, CANADA. With him were Opal Annie MOORE and Alfred LEON MOORE, his children. 'Leon' met and married KAY SELKIRK of Biggar, Saskatchewan. Kay SELKIRK MOORE had two children. The couple divorced, and LEON returnded to the United States. In Idaho, he met and married Carrie (Daisy) DayleyCarol White. Here they lived until Leon's death in 1981. My father married my Mother MARGARET ISABELLA GLOVER in Biggar Saskatchewan. Their first of three daughters was born in Biggar in 1938. The family returned to the U.S. around 1944. J.R.
