While in St. Louis, we visited the Gateway Arch, Zoo, Cardinal's game, Museums, Botanical gardens,
Naional Pre-Olympic Gymnastics Championships, Science Exposition place, and other attractions.
We rode the Metro everywhere.
We took romantic evening walks along tree shrouded lamplighted paths near the Arch and Lafietes Landing.
It was a wonderful fun week

You should have seen Susie jump when this goofy looking bird hopped towards her.
A Golden Eagle entertained us by mimicking its keeper.
Even though it was a hot day, the Polar Bears were "chilling."

Jim stands by a statue outside Busch Stadium of Bob Gibson (Long time favorite of Jim's).
The game was good, Seats were fine, Cardinals WON ...BUT,food was expensive,
and didn't get to see Mark McGuire play.

We saw the traveling "Imperial Russia" exhibit, Egyptian Mummies,
and paintings by many Masters, including Monet, Reniour, Rembrant, Gogan, VanGogh and others.

We walked through the Botanical Gardens (Beautiful), and attended the National Gynmastics Championships which counted as 40% of the Olympic selection process.

GLACIER NATIONAL PARK

We are approaching a tunnel (one of several) in Glacier.
The sheer drop on the side of the road made Susie very uncomfortable.
Glacier park is beautiful.

We watched this mountain goat during lunch near Logan Pass in Glacier Nat Park.
He started on a high ledge, and came down nearer to us. We also saw a Hoary Marmott.

Montana highway?
This is the little almost abandoned town in Montanna, we encountered when we took a "shortcut" that a local resident assured us was "good road". It turned out to be 20 miles of gravel road.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK

Yellowstone
We stayed in the Old Faithful Inn while in Yellowstone. We could watch Old faithful Gieser out from our window.
The inside of the Inn is more impressive than the outside. It is framed with gnarled timbers. It is absolutely beautiful.

Yellowstone: We rode bikes in the Old Faithful basin. We also did some hiking. It was wonderful, biking down trails and watching geysers erupt and annimals roam We ate a picnic lunch with our feet in a creek, while watching elk fording. These are some of our fondest memories.

We are about to go rafting on the Yellowstone river. While biking, we passed this buffalo.
