Working Stif Journal from Austin, Texas

The Working Stiff Journal is a cooperatively-produced monthly labor newspaper from Austin, Texas. Its main focus is labor in Austin, but it also includes material on national and international struggles, particularly if it directly affects local workers. Eight different union locals(including the IWW) participate in publishing WSJ. WSJ would be useful to those interested in ways to reach workers locally who may not yet think of themselves as radicals or linked to a larger struggle against the employing class. Industrial Worker Online

This is the online site of the "Industrial Worker", founded in 1909 to promote revolutionary union movements. Recently the IW's internet readership has grown dramatically with many hits coming from Russia, Japan, China, the U.K, and elsewhere.

Quality, Inexpensive Books for Tabling

The Philadelphia General Membership Branch has quantities of labor-related books and titles on other topics of interest available to IWW Branches and groups at very generous discounts. IWW groups in the East Bay, Minneapolis, Louisville, and Washington DC have already used the books to rake in the green by tabling at conferences and events. E-Mail Accounts for Wobblies

The system administrators at fletcher.iww.org, bari.iww.org and parsons.iww.org, will provide free e-mail accounts for IWW members. To use this offer, you will need to an internet account which you can use to telnet to the proper iww.org server. The fletcher and bari servers are in the San Francisco Bay Area and the parsons server is in massachusetts. Pick a server geographically close to you. For an account on fletcher write to sysadmin@iww.org. For an account on bari write to sysadmin@bari.iww.org. For an account on parsons write bostgmb@parsons.iww.org. Include your name, membership number, desired username(with an alternate), phone number, (the name you give whould be recognized a that number), and times that you can be reached at that number (for setting temporary password). Be prepared to telnet to iww.org and change the password soon after you set your temporary password. When possible, please make a donation to support the maintenance and expansion of the IWW's on-line presence.
