This is probably one of the hardest of all the events. The mid distance and distance area has a great group of returnees. Senior Cody Strickler will lead the group as he has two state track meet experiences and one state cross country meet behind him. He's been running 2:02s or better since his sophomore year and now has some mile experience. He will be hard for many to beat in the SEK league. Along with Cody, Senior Scott Rexwinkle also has some state meet experience. He's been there in both cross country and track. Cody, Scott, Kenny Baker (senior), and Jason Clark (junior) will make up a very hard to beat 4 by 800. Baker went to state last season on the 4 by 800 with Cody and Scott. Clark is the only one without state meet experience, but has ran in meets with them and proved hes ready for this seasons challenge. Besides the 4 by 8 group is Sophomore Andrew Patterson, and Junior Heath Womack. They are the two main two milers. They have both placed in varsity meets and are sure to improve this season.
