      5. Cynthia3 Walker (James2, Daniel1) was born February 28, 1784 in Stephentown, Rensselaer County, NY, and died December 02, 1854 in Berlin, Rensselaer, NY. She married Joshua or Joseph Lamphier.

Notes for Cynthia Walker:
A "Cynthia Lamphier" married to a "Joshua Lamphier" is recorded in the "Walker
Family History" by Eva Nichols Thayer however it is not known how she is
related to the Walkers. Given the date of her birth and her residence in
Berlin, New York in relation to other Walker family relatives, it is assumed
that Cynthia was a sister of Levi.

In addition, according to the 1790, 1800, and 1810 Census records, Levi had at
least four sisters, one of whom could have been Cynthia.

May have been born in Massachusetts according to the Stephentown Historical
Society.

Other spellings of the name Lamphier are Lamphear or Lamphire.

Baptist Church Records indicate that Cynthia joined the Baptist church on June
27, 1827. On May 4, 1839 she was described as elderly and in poor health.

Notes for Joshua or Joseph Lamphier:
In some census records, his first name is sometimes listed as Joshua and in others as Joseph. The family history indicates Joshua as well as the tombstone; however the 1850 census indicates Joseph with a son also being named Joseph, age 24, in the 1850 census.

May have been born in MA according to Stephentown Historical Society; however, the 1850 census indicates born in NY.
