To Those I Love & Leave Behind
When I am gone, release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do. You must not tie yourself to me with tears. Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love. You can only guess how much you gave me in happiness. But now it's time I traveled on alone. So grieve a while for me if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for a while that we must part. So bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, and life goes on. So if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near and if you listen with your heart, you'll hear all of my love around you soft and clear. And then when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and say, "Welcome Home."

There's so much that everyone knows about Bandy, and I'm sure everyone would like to hear about it. Bandy was definitely one of a kind. He was so lively and energetic, not willing to give up on anything. Yet at the same time, he was always there to lend a shoulder to be leaned on. The most I remember about him was when he and John lived next door to us. He came over every night to pick on us and invite us to go bike riding, walking or just sit and chill. Bandy always had some kind of story from day to day, always something interesting and out of whack. I remember him putting in "Jewel-Sensitive" and he'd sing (sounded exactly like her) and he had a little 'dance' to go along with it. I also remember no matter how many bumps and bruises he had (the eye patch), it didn't seem to bring him down, just made him goofier, making some kind of fun out of it. He claimed he was a pirate with the eye patch and then pretended he was blind. Everyone knows he was the life of any party, with Bandy there, it could not be boring. He was always trying to get us to go to his out of state events with him but we always had to work those nights and he'd put the biggest guilt trip on us. No one could ever be mad at him because he made everyone smile, and I know he still is making us all smile. Like I said, this is just a minimum of the kind of life I remember about Bandy Boswell, I know there was much more than that and he made the best of it for a reason. Thank you for listening to my story, hopefully there'll be more stories to come from you readers!!! And I thank Bandy for giving me the opportunity to be his friend and be able to share some of, not all, that which made him so memorable to me. Sincerely, Chrystal

The Man
The man under the hat,
Was more than just a man.
He was and always will be a cowboy
Bullriding was a hobby,
Reflecting his life;
Fun, wild, and of course hard.
He will never be gone,
Just not able to see.
He'll protect and push you.
His love was something different.
Remember his best and worst qualities
And he'll never leave.
He"d never want you to cry,
Just have a good time for him.
And never forget the man
Under the cowboy hat.
In Loving Memory
Of Bandy Lynn Boswell
Named by Brian Boswell.

GOODBYE
As I look up at this beautiful sky.
I didn't know I would be the first to say goodbye.
I do remember when you were younger, sitting at your bed,
And not having any regrets what I had said.
"You can be anything you want to be
I just want to be there to see."
At the time I didn't know it would be Rodeo.
But in my books you are a "Hero".
The memories that I have,
I try to share with Mom and Dad.
I hate to say goodbye,
But I understand you had to go to the big Rodeo in the Sky.
Written by Bandy's brother,
Roy

COWBOY UP!
"SMILE NO MATTER WHAT" WAS WHAT HE WOULD SAY.,
ALWAYS KEEP YOUR CHIN UP EVEN ON THE WORST DAYS.
THOSE TWO SAYINGS YOU SHOULD LEARN SWELL
BECAUSE THE GUY WHO SAID THEM HE DID MEAN WELL.
HE'S A COWBOY YOU COULD SAY.
HE RODE EVERYWHERE, AND STILL DOES TILL THIS DAY.
AWHILE BACK IT WAS HIS TIME TO GO. HE MOVED ON TO A NEW AND BETTER RIDE.
IT'S CALLED 8 SECONDS OF PRIDE.
JUST THINKING OF HIM NOW I HEAR HIM SAY "IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO FORGET THE SORROW,
GO ON WITH YOUR DAYS THAT FOLLOW.
