To the chorus of singing children, Eva enters a cathedral to partake of Mass communion. She eats the bread, begins to drink the wine, then moans in pain and passes out.

Amidst Eva's personal suffering, the people of Argentina are suffering, as well. The military and police are starting to retaliate against the people Eva so adores. It's clear there is an end in sight, but what is ending isn't exactly clear.
